Culms decumbent, 1–30 cm tall. Lateral branches branched. Ligule a fringe of
hairs, 1 mm long. Leaf-blades flat, 0.5–12 cm long, 1–5 mm wide.
Inflorescence.
Inflorescence compound, a panicle of spikes. Panicle elliptic or oblong, 0.5–3
cm long.

Spikelets sessile. Fertile spikelets 1-flowered, comprising 1 fertile
floret(s), without rachilla extension, lanceolate or elliptic, laterally
compressed, 2.5–4 mm long.
